Judgment Window Optimization

The previous windows were too lenient. In dense sections with slower note speeds, one hit could register multiple nearby Notes, making the closer one Perfect while the slightly farther one became a guaranteed Yeah. This is a well-known challenge in rhythm games.

Our first step was to tighten the window for lower judgments (especially Yeah) while keeping the Perfect and Good windows unchanged.

Since we don’t have tons of experience with this yet, the new system might still need tuning. If you run into any issues, please share your thoughts in our Discord—we’d love to discuss and improve it together.

Both keys and Notes are scaled down to 50% size, giving more reaction time as Notes fall.

This gives you more visual reaction time as the Notes fall. Many falling-note games use perspective tricks to extend the readable zone—we’re trying the scaled-down UI approach for now. If it doesn’t feel right, we’ll explore other solutions in the future.
