You may remember the time-lapse-style gameplay video we just released, focusing on 2D platformer creation. But, did you know that wasn't quite the first version we intended to post?
In this original version of that video, we showed most of the same features... albeit with different editing and level style.
We decided not to use this version because it shows more issues than we liked, and it was recorded with repeating music that some of us found to be too annoying. We also felt the sci-fi style may not be the best way to debut gameplay, mostly due to its darker and less playful vibe (though we like how it proves the variety of theming in the game).
In the end, we remade the footage in a new level and focused more on a sped-up timelapse edit. The overlaid music in the final cut made it a more interesting video than this original version, which had no music added.
