EDIT: Alright, I have finished updates to all the tiers. If you were previously at the $1 access tier, you will continue to receive TWC chapters for the same amount even though the tier has increased to $5.
I have also added new tiers for chapters of Throne of Time, which will be going up MWF including this week. The base tier is $10, given the faster release rate, but the TWC+ToT tier has been temporarily set at $11 - this is to match the automatic grandfathering of the previous tier so that patrons who are interested in ToT can still get the same discount. If you don't want this for whatever reason, I think you can set your own support level.
I believe that covers everything, but let me know if anything seems off. Those on the new tiers will be getting a chapter later today, and everyone will be getting the usual update on Saturday. Thanks to everyone for supporting my writing career. ^-^

Hello, everyone! With Deadgold finished, it's time for a business post about the Patreon in general.
When I started this account, I put practically all the rewards on the $1 tier because I wanted this to be a casual method of support. I knew there would be breaks in between books, for example, and hoped this would be less "paying for chapters" and more a community of people interested in my work. Perhaps this was effective in a few ways, but I'm not sure it ended up feeling as casual or community-based as I'd hoped.
In any case, going forward I intend to serialize both more TWC books as well as Throne of Time chapters, so I want patrons to be able to choose to follow either or both, only receiving the updates relevant to them. This is also the time to introduce some changes to the overall tiers of this Patreon. They'll probably be like this:
$1: General update posts.
$5: TWC chapters, exactly as they've been posted in the past.
$10: Throne of Time chapters.
$15: Both.
$25-50: The premium tiers will remain as they were before, since those are mostly generosity, but the benefits of being included in the credits will now apply to ToT books as well. If people want to throw in a name for ToT, for a student or textbook or something, I suppose that will go here as well?
Now, an important piece of information: Patreon makes it easy to grandfather past patrons so that their prices don't actually increase. I intend to go out of my way to honor this with the new "both" tier, starting it at a lower price so that if patrons want to upgrade, they can do so while keeping the TWC price that would have been grandfathered in.
Another important thing: the TWC price increase won't go into effect until the next book starts. Would feel wrong to implement that while I'm not actually delivering chapters.
Is the content I offer here worth the price upgrade? Individual readers can make that decision for themselves, but I think this is the right decision for me as an author. Of course you can feel free to provide feedback now, and it's entirely possible that I've overlooked some element of how to implement this. But that is the plan going forward!
