Hi!!! Sorry there serene posts last week! I’m honestly an inch away from quitting my day job because it’s a buttload of work and political/dumb reasons that change plans and crumble my logistics. But enough about that, here’s more behind the scenes of Cleo and Gaddi, who are the protagonists of My husbands story! This was a little something I did a little ago, enjoying the new dynamics that are coming up with them, here’s a little excerpt (I recommend listening to “as the blade falls” by Calavera.

Cleo swung her spear in an arc, leaving a trail of blue light in its wake. Gaddi blocked the strike with his sword, tilting it to the side so the spear’s shaft got caught in the gaps of his weapon. Instinctively, he twisted his sword, and the shaft began to creak, but he stopped mid-movement. His eyes darted from their clashing weapons to Cleo’s furious face. She struggled to free her spear from the lock, but Gaddi kept reshaping his sword’s blade to prevent it.
She stared at him, her eyes filled with tears of rage.
“Finish this, or let me finish it. Or what, are you playing with me? Stop humiliating me,” she shouted in his face.
Gaddi stepped back in surprise, his grip still firm to keep Cleo from freeing her weapon.
“I would never do that,” he replied softly. The face in front of him was one he no longer recognized.
“So what, you don’t want to hurt me?” Cleo laughed and tried once more to pull her weapon free, yanking hard. Gaddi held his control steady, but the force of her pull made him step forward. Their faces were now just inches apart.
“Then you’re a coward,” Cleo said mockingly.
Their eyes met. His, dark and light-absorbing. Hers, golden, but no longer shining—longing for something that was no longer there.
Suddenly, Cleo let go of her spear with her right hand and threw a punch straight at Gaddi’s face. He read her movement and caught her wrist in midair.
“No coward has ever come this close to ending this war,” Gaddi said, pulling her toward him.
