Greetings,
I hope you all had a pleasant entry into the new year and are well. I had a great time with family and friends, maybe a bit too good at times as I had quite the hangover... -s... Anyway I continued with rendering and started prepping the first evening/night scene.
I also switched back to After Effects for me post-work/editing process. Keyframing and copying settings from one frame to another, or even one sequence to another, is a bit of a pain in davinci resolve as the editing is split above multiple tabs and different workflows. It has pros and cons, but ultimately After Effects still suites my workflow better even if I don't really want to support Adobe anymore.
One thing I did miss from Davinci Resolve was the LUT-Browser. It's a tool that helps with color grading presets. After Effects doesn't have something like that and the expensive plugins that are available are not very user friendly. So I spend a day or two and created my own tool which is easier, quicker and more user friendly. At least in my opinion. AI helped my a lot creating that specific tool as I didn't know much about the Adobe SDK and I'm really surprised how quickly I got that tool going. Maybe I'll do some quality assurance for the tool and release it somewhere. But I have to check for legal issues before. Not that I get fucked by Adobe for some reason...
Next week I'll continue to render the scene above.
