Amélie was in a wonderful mood. She had received a pleasant surprise at work as her effort and talent earned her a promotion. It often felt like luck naturally followed her. Studying had been easy, her career was moving steadily forward, and ahead of her was a long-awaited vacation in Hawaii with Marc, her boyfriend whom she truly loved.
Nothing could ruin her mood today. Even stepping into gum on her way to training didn’t bother her. Life felt too bright for such a small annoyance to matter.
But what was nothing to Amélie became a disaster for others.In this city lived tinies — miniature humans whose origins had long turned into forgotten history. People of Amélie’s size rarely paid attention to them, treating them more like insects than equals. Their lives were short and dangerous, filled with constant risks as they searched for food or shelter.
