Hello and welcome to this week’s Gacha Cummy Final Progress Report! That’s right, (hopefully) the FINAL! As we prepare to release Update 1.9 straight into your waiting hands and work tirelessly to complete it, we still found time to share some pieces of information with you!
Over the course of development, the way the Pet System was first conceptualized and later implemented has changed drastically, and we have now arrived at its final form! After yet another defeat at Kafka’s hands, you find yourself in need of a power boost to help tip the scales of battle in your favor. Thankfully, the Chief’s house holds records that may prove invaluable on your journey!
The Beastbinding Ritual allows you to turn any Beastman ally into your Pet by assigning them to a unique fifth party member slot, granting them two exclusive abilities. The first ability may be a triggered effect, a cooldown skill, or a passive ability that supports your team. The second ability is always an Ultimate, capable of turning the tide of battle in your favor. These abilities scale just like the skills and ultimates of your regular characters!
We mentioned that your Pet occupies a fifth slot in the party, but this comes with unique properties. First, the ally is not present on the battlefield, meaning they cannot die during combat! Second, because they are still considered part of your party, they provide party-wide buffs just like normal members do. This is especially significant, as they can grant Synergy Points and Item Set bonuses without ever entering the field. This will allow your team to reach even greater heights as you take on the new challenges introduced in Update 1.9!
Over the past few patches, we have steadily expanded the tools available to you in combat. However, we are also considering strengthening your enemies to ensure the challenge remains engaging. We are still exploring how this will be implemented, but rest assured, combat balance will remain fair.
