Hello and welcome to this week's Gacha Cummy progress report! The final one for this update! We're putting everything we have into finishing this update on time, hoping to bring you one of the best updates in a while. Today we'll be sharing more news on what you can expect to see!
However, let's start from the beginning. At the start of development, our vision for this update was a bit different from where we ultimately ended up, mostly regarding the Sanctuary area and where the story was headed. We knew the area was meant to house a particularly strong Elder Spirit, a being of immense power who would grant you the right to challenge the Beastman King. However, such a spirit residing within the Sanctuary would surely need servants to care for it, right? Someone to worship it, offer faith, and sustain its presence. Over time, we’ve iterated over a few ideas that could in theory fit the concept of the perfect servant for the Elder Beast, however, none of them quite worked out for the story we were trying to tell.
That is where your suggestions came in! Believe it or not, we read and consider every piece of feedback you share with us! Over time, we noticed many frequent requests for a certain species to be added to the game: Kitsunes. As it turns out, they fit perfectly into the vision we had for the Sanctuary!
And so, we decided to implement them in the form of Mikos serving the Elder Spirit enshrined within the Sanctuary.Their duties include, but not limited to: taking care of the Elder Spirit’s needs, serving them with utmost devotion, performing rituals of faith and more! Down below, you can see their sprite we've prepared for them! As you can see, they have quite the Ara-charm to them, being noticeably older than some of the previous additions to the game. And the best part? You will be able to transform your allies into devoted followers of the Moonbeast in this very update, adding a powerful support unit to your team who can buff allies and apply cursed seals to enemies.
We hope you enjoy their addition and all the fluff and aras they bring with them. But one question still remains: who exactly is the Moonbeast they serve? That is something you will have to discover for yourself once Update 1.10 releases in full. We still have many more surprises in store for this update, and we hope you are just as excited for it as we are!
