Hi Club Kirbs! I've made lots of progress this week on my upcoming video so I figured I would give another Friday update, and share some more stills from the new video.
"My Brief Experience in the Animation Industry" is 28.67% done. I've been spending so much time this week on the video, drawing assets and backgrounds, animating, editing, etc.
My process is all over the place, but I do a lot of work in Procreate using my iPad. I've been using Procreate for like 7 years now, so it's my most comfortable drawing software, and I'm always using it for background art in my videos.
Here's a short timelapse of a background I did today for one of the shots in my video.
Once I finished the background in Procreate, I moved the PSD file to my PC where I composited in the animation in Adobe Premiere. Here's the final still!
You may notice I tweaked the colors a bit too. When the animation gets laid on the background, I'm always making color adjustments so the scene feels whole. For example, in this case, I bumped up the saturation and contrast to better match my character.
