UPDATE 8! or UPD8, if you will! I am so clever.
This will be the last progress update regarding my next video "Software Doesn't Matter" before I upload the full video here on Patreon next week!
It's been quite a journey with this video. But I am very proud of how it's turned out.
And the video feels especially of-the-moment given the Adobe situation earlier this week. ICYMI, Adobe sent out an email to all Adobe Animate users announcing that they would be discontinuing the application and would be removing access to it by a certain date (Animate is what I use right now to make my videos, btw). After massive backlash from the animation community, as well as plummeting stock and a mountain of canceled subscriptions on Adobe's end, Adobe actually reversed their decision just 24 hours later.
I hope one of the takeaways of my video is that software shouldn't limit us from creating our art. Software companies don't often have our backs. Imagine Animate actually was discontinued! 1) That would be awful, yes, but 2) my hope is that all those animators would have turned to other programs, other animation tools, to continue working on their craft. There's so many other options out there--(many of which are run by companies that care about artists!)
Anyway, it's been a wild week.
Here's some behind-the-scenes of a bit I did for the video... lololol
Full video to be released on Patreon either Monday of Tuesday of next week. (fingers crossed) Then I'm shooting for a Friday release on YouTube, hoping I get swift sponsor approval.
Thanks for reading, BYE!
