I'm back with a new update to reveal the details of my next video, which will be out much sooner than you think! The script is done, and I've already started animating.
So last week, I watched all five of this year's Oscar nominees for Best Animated Short Film: a category that is definitely overlooked at the awards, despite how much artistic style and experimentation you can find in it.
In my next video, I'm going to discuss each film on the list, rank them, and maybe look behind-the-scenes to see how they were made. I had such a blast doing this, and I'm hoping to share some hidden gems in the world of animated shorts.
In addition, I watched the other 10 short films on the shortlist, so if time allows, I'd love to explore some of those, because I definitely think there were snubs.

I'm undecided on the release date. On one hand, I think it's smart to release it before the Oscars on March 15, since interest in the topic would probably die down after the awards. But on the other hand, maybe it'd be more interesting to release it the day after, when the winner has been announced, and I can include my reaction to that. (Plus, I'd have a little extra time to work on it haha)
Hmmmmm, thinking thinking...
Either way, I'll be chugging along on the edit, and doing my best to keep things funny, engaging, and true to the Kirbs style, since the topic might fall a liiittle bit outside my niche.
