Ideas for v0.11 and beyond
DESCRIPTION

Hey everyone!Hope you're enjoying the content coming to v0.10.

I wanted to share an idea I’ve been seriously considering for v0.11 and future updates, and I’d love your feedback before I commit to it.

One concept that keeps coming back to me is adding a new “Free Path.”

What this means is that after Week 2, once the MC receives the assignment, you would no longer need to follow one character exclusively as your mentor.

Instead, the world opens up.

You could:• spend one day with Lucy• meet Dr. Marlowe the next• ask Sophia for guidance later• explore changes on your own• mix influences and experiences over time

Your journey would become more flexible and personal, shaped by your choices rather than a single structured route.

It won't be something easy to develop, because, to make this work, I want the world to respond dynamically to the MC’s development. If something changes, like behavior, mindset, appearance, habits, then other characters will notice and react the next time they interact with you… even if they weren’t directly involved. In other words, your choices with one character will naturally affect how the others see and treat you.

This would be a separate path with a different pacing, and as it’s less linear, progression would be slower (in terms of development). The main story would still advance, but some character developments may happen off-screen depending on where your attention goes.I’m also considering a relationship familiarity system. For example, the MC might not openly reveal certain changes to someone they barely know yet. Characters would react based not only on what’s changed, but also on how close they are to you.

This idea comes from many suggestions you’ve shared, and I’d really like to explore adding this level of freedom to the game.

So I want to hear it from you guys. Would this be something interesting, or do you preferer the semi open-world with linear story structure that I've been doing so far?If you're curious about how this system might work, let me know in the comments. I’m still shaping the details, but I’ve already started outlining some interesting mechanics for it.-thegp
