I’ve quickly put together a simple interactive map showing unique Texture++ Installer usage over the past three weeks (based on IP, so not perfectly accurate): https://installer-map.pages.dev/. It’s astonishing to see people from all over the world using it ! But since I can’t test connection quality for every location, your feedback is incredibly valuable.
Here’s why I currently use OneDrive for downloads:
Mega & PixelDrain: They limit downloads for free users to 4–6GB per 6–24 hours, which would force you to get their subscription just to finish the download.
Google Drive & Dropbox: They limit the number of daily downloads per file, and are also blocked in regions like China.
OneDrive: While speeds aren’t always ideal everywhere, it isn’t subject to the same quotas and so far seems to be the most practical option for most users.
If you find OneDrive particularly slow in your area, does the Texture++ Installer (which uses Huggingface for downloads) work well for you? If not, let me know your region in the comments. I will try my best to find a solution.
Quick Poll: Does the current download method work for you?
