After being sent to Kuraigana Island by Bartholomew Kuma, Perona spent the two-year timeskip living alongside Dracule Mihawk. While her signature Gothic Lolita aesthetic and easily-annoyed, childish personality largely remained, this period of isolation and unexpected cohabitation with the "World's Strongest Swordsman" seemed to temper some of her more extreme whims. She retains full control over her Hollow-Hollow Fruit abilities, allowing her to create negative hollows that sap foes' will or corporeal ghosts for various uses. Despite her earlier disdain for the Straw Hats, her underlying loyalty to her former master, Gecko Moria, eventually leads her to abandon her peaceful solitude to aid him.
