Room Service - Beta 0.2 | First Look!

Hey everyone! How's your week been?

Sorry for the holdup but today, I'm happy to share a first look at the next update coming soon to Room Service!

== Beta 0.2 ==

This update will be a balance between three important goals:

Continue the story following the events at the Shopping Mall

Expand upon the Crimson City Hotel's locations

Complete some backlogged tasks

Needless to say, there's quite a bit to work on!

The first major task that is nearing completion is the main character will be getting an official design! I wasn't sure if I wanted to give him one at first, since RS is intended to be more immersive, but it's nice to have a design especially for those map-scenes where he might be visible.

Additionally, I plan to have the story continue as Jen and the MC return to the hotel for the evening.

At this moment, I'm not entirely sure they'll go back outside for the night. It's still the first day and given the "unexpected" turn of events at the mall, I think they both could use a little rest. But first, they'll have to figure out the bed situation...

By the end of Room Service, my plan is to make sure the Crimson City Hotel has plenty of areas to explore with Jen (or perhaps explore while solo too?) along with the outside destinations. Connecting these all together so the game feels a little more sandboxy, like House Chores, is the goal! But it will take some time to build to that point.
