Happy New Year everyone! Here's my art summary from 2025. I felt like I had drawn a lot throughout the year, but it turned out I had draw tons during two months and then.. almost nothing... For some months it was just the comic pages, and in November I drew absolutely nothing. I still added a painting I completed in October there as a place holder because I wanted to showcase that I've done something with acrylics this year too! And that made me realize I hadn't even shared all the artwork I've done this year! :O-------------------------
So, the picture after the summary shows three acrylic paintings I did during a very short period of time. I somehow got extremely into the zone, it felt the same as painting had felt when I was a teen, like I was consumed by the whole process, and I throughoutly enjoyed it.
I first painted the tiger swallowing (or growing? who knows!) a lotus, a painting I had had in my head FOR YEARS and only now managed to paint. I always thought it's a painting my character Rain would paint. :3 (SOLD)
Second, I painted the horse with a reference of a shore. It was supposed to be a full and very detailed realistic painting, but.. After I had played around with the placement of shadows and lights, I just fell in love with the way it looked. Unfinished, yet there was something that I felt would get lost if I tried to refine and perfect the piece. So I decided it's perfect as it is, and it works as a great reminder for myself that art doesn't have to be perfect or polished.Lastly, I painted the deer in the sunlight. I'm not sure if I should have worked on it longer, but this is how it wanted to turn out. :D (SOLD)The last one is a patron reward for Abyss, finished this month and the piece that got me back to drawing after the hiatus! ^^
