Hi everyone...! I'm terribly sorry for the quiet and the lack of updates. Good news first! While I didn't want to rush getting a new dog after Olia passed, this time it was my boyfriend who got really keen on a rescue we first noticed in November. We thought about it and realized this is the perfect moment to introduce a younger dog to the pack while our older galgos are both 8 years old - already seniors, but still energetic and looking for someone to play with. So now we have a 3-legged galgo rescue from Spain that's really the light of the party! He fit right in with the two other dogs, and he's very affectionate and energetic. Helping him get accustomed to being a house dog has taken a lot of time, but it's been so rewarding <3Another thing that took a lot of my time was the approaching Finnish championships in martial arts. This was the first year I didn't participate myself (more on that later), but I was there in the role of a coach of course and we had the biggest team we've ever had in a competition..! Our juniors did so extremely well that the top three in points were all from our club. Time well spent at the dojang, if you ask me! :DThen the not so good news, and something that has been affecting my mood a lot.. I've had issues with my hip for a longer time, but it's been gradually getting worse. I finally got a doctor seriously look at it, and the x-ray was already quite worrying.. I got an MRI done, and the result is that there's overgrowth of bones) and it's on such a large area it can't really be removed... I'm waiting for one more assessment, this time from a hip specialist in a university hospital, but at the moment it's looking rather grim. To give you an idea of how bad my hip is, I was taking off my sock on Sunday and my hip dislocated.. Today it dislocated while I was going up the stairs at work. It tore my back and stomach muscles and I'm in a lot of pain, and constantly pissed because of it. On top of the pain there's the mental side, as martial arts have been my lifestyle for two decades. Last year I won the champion title in full contact sparring (4th time in a row), so the change is huge, from champion to a cripple... Of course I'm not as young anymore either, but when I can't even do daily things like walk the dogs or go up stairs at work, it's really affecting my life and mental health in general. *sigh*On top of all of this, the next page of TS is a lot of work. The first panel alone has 6 characters in it, and I'm just constantly procrastinating (three more panels to line + colours + shading left.. X_X). Therefore, I'm pausing billing for May, and will try make up for the April pages during that time. Thank you for always being so patient and understanding, it means a lot! <3https://linktr.ee/GaikotsuY
