First, let's talk about what Stacher Premium is not.

You do not have to have to be a Patreon member or have access to Stacher Premium to use Stacher. "Stacher Core" will continue to be maintained and expanded upon for free, just like it has been for years. If you like, you can completely ignore this Patreon and it's perks and continue using Stacher like normal and for free, forever.

So, what is exactly is Stacher Premium?

Simply put, becoming a paid Patreon member will allow you to get a License Key that will give you added features. It's geared towards people who really enjoy the project, want to support me and it's development, and want to get more out of it!

Those Features?

With the release of Stacher Version 7.1.0, everyone will get to use some of the Premium features, for free, for 30 days. The intent here is to give you an idea of what Stacher Premium unlocks.

Stacher Library →

Stacher Library is an entirely separate part of the application that automatically persists your media with additional metadata from yt-dlp. You can even further organize your media by adding your own tags, categories, notes, etc.

Additionally, you will be able to play your media directly within Stacher with custom built video and audio players. The video player will render chapter info and heatmaps (if that data exists in your media file's metadata). Stacher can also generate thumbnails that appear above the media player seek track if enabled in the Library tab of the Settings window.

Finally, and maybe most importantly, Stacher's Library has an optimized and ultra fast search capability. You can search and filter through tens of thousands of files in fractions of a second.

It's almost like having your own media website completely local to your computer.

In addition to tracking your downloaded media, you can import existing media that you have on your computer through the Library Import functionality. Just drag and drop media into the Import window and Stacher will handle parsing, extracting metadata, indexing, and adding into the library.

Quickly find what you're looking for by searching for the title, source, tags, notes, etc and either play it within Stacher's media player or click and drag the content out of Stacher into your media editing software or other 3rd party software.

You'll also get Themes. Themes let you customize the appearance of Stacher. There are several themes available and more will be added in the future.

Tired of pink? You can change the accent color from Stacher Pink to whatever you like.

How does the License Key work? →

First, subscribe to Stacher Premium in the subscriptions of this Patreon. Once subscribed, you'll be able to get a license key.

To get your license key, subscribe to Stacher Premium here on Patreon and then visit https://license.stacher.io

Back in Stacher, there is a heart icon in the upper left corner on Windows or the upper right corner on MacOS. When you click that, paste your License key the the input box and click the Activate button.
