It seems that this illness is not just a simple cold, but throat conjunctivitis with cold-like symptoms.I haven’t been able to visit a hospital yet because it’s still the weekend, but my symptoms strongly match throat conjunctivitis.
This illness can easily spread to others through saliva and tears, and unlike ordinary cold viruses, the virus can survive on objects such as doorknobs and mobile phones for 2 to 4 weeks.Since it is said to remain contagious for 1 to 2 weeks after onset, I need to maintain strict infection control for up to 2 weeks.
My sore throat is almost gone, but whether it is because of the throat conjunctivitis or not, I have been coughing continuously through the early morning and have not been able to get more than 2 hours of sleep at a time. I also feel pain in my eyes, and at the same time, yellow, sticky tears keep coming out, so there are times when I cannot see properly.
