From the anniversary suggestions I went with elegant! Probably just due to the freedom of picking any characters I want lmao. But also due to the lack of time (started this 2 days ago lol) I tried doing the pencil method again and just painting digitally.
Compared to the golden bikini drawing I think this one I'm much more happy with! And I think the drawing looks as good as it does because of working this way. The theme lent itself to a more "old" vibe, so I tried to keep the tones muted and everything relatively dark with high contrasts. The pencil texture really elevates it a lot!
It was just straight up fun to work intensively with pencils again lol, ever since leaving college I've mostly avoided it and just worked with inks, pens, watercolors, anything but pencils, so it was a nice refresher.
I'm very happy with how this turned out!! I hope you like it too. I want to do more like this, it was so revitalizing lol
