Hey everyone, quick update on what's been cooking this past week
Heavy week on DuskVerb. Shipped v0.5.5 with a new Dattorro Vintage engine (lush, dark, classic plate character), plus a pile of fixes from issue #87 that some of you flagged. Vibrato and bell-like artifacts in the FDN and QuadTank tails are way down. Modulation behaves much better on long tails now, but FDN and QuadTank still need more tuning. That's on the bench for next week.
I'm also working on discrete First Reflections with per-tap low-pass filtering, and retuned the Smooth Concert Hall preset against Lex reference metrics. It sits in the mix the way the hardware does now.
Under the hood: AVX2 SIMD on the Hadamard matrix mixer, RT-safe parameter snapshotting (so automation never glitches the audio thread), and a bunch of dead code stripped out. CPU is meaningfully lower across the board.
Chord Analyzer v1.1.4 went out with an attempted fix for Cubase MIDI Inserts. Cubase needs a specific VST3 subcategory tag to expose it in the MIDI Inserts slot. If you use Cubase Pro 13/14/15, reach out, I need help testing this.
Heading out tomorrow for a wedding weekend. Taking time to unplug, eat too much and recharge. Back to the keyboard Monday, though I'll probably sneak in a little coding on the plane.
