DESCRIPTION

Hey Everyone!

After a little over a month of tuning the reverb engines, I am finally getting this one out there for you to check out. Here's what is new and updated:

New Presets:

Four new engines

Hall. The centerpiece. A feedback delay network with a per-octave graphic EQ inside the loop, which means every octave gets its own independent decay time. This is what real concert halls do: lows bloom for seconds while the air band falls away quickly. Previous engines could only approximate that with broad damping controls. Most of the hall presets have been migrated to it.

Dense Hall. A different tradeoff: heavy allpass diffusion at every stage plus modulation everywhere, for a tail that is dense and smooth rather than surgically accurate. Bright Hall now lives here.

Reverse. My attempt at recreating the classic Lexicon rising-envelope room. It is the real causal algorithm, early reflections that grow in level for about 70 ms before the tail takes over, not a backwards-convolution trick.

Tiled Room. Front-loads roughly 70 percent of its energy into the first 50 ms, then drops into a short, dark, lowpassed tail. The hard, ceramic, small-room sound that a single reverb tank structurally cannot make.

Macro row

Three new global controls that sit on top of whatever preset you are using:

Tone tilts the reverb darker or brighter.

Character adds movement and grit.

Duck pulls the wet signal down while the dry input is playing so the reverb blooms in the gaps. Small row, big workflow change.

Shimmer overhaul

Shimmer gained a post-loop high frequency air voice and a down-octave low voice. Deep Blue Day and Black Hole were rebuilt around the new architecture and both sound noticeably bigger and less glassy.

An honest Decay knob

The Decay knob now reads in actual measured seconds. Every factory preset was recalibrated so that the number on the knob matches the broadband RT60 of the tail you hear. If it says 2.0, the tail takes about 2 seconds to die.

Preset retuning and fixes

The whole factory bank (20 presets) went through another round of tuning trying to get closer to the sounds of some of my favorite reverbs. Plus a two-column preset menu, brighter labels, in-window dropdowns that fix the Wayland popup issues some Linux users reported, and state-restore and pluginval robustness fixes.
