A lil preview - and showing the benefits of splitting up your lineart in separate layers for coloring purposes; if there's clear sections that are meant to be behind / infront of a lot of detailwork, splitting up the layers makes the coloring much easier- specially if you use any type of magic-wand type bucket-fill method to color in your lineart. Just need to make sure you close the gaps where needed, and voila, you'll save yourself a bit of a headache when needing to keep your coloring&shading cleanly separated
