I am changing my Patreon campaign for more longevity and a broader scope, but the ride may be somewhat bumpy during this transition.
Scripts for Grand Theft Auto V will transition to an early access model. They return to be free releases on public websites such as GTA5-Mods.com. Early access may last from a week to a month, depending on the extent of work added.
License Generator and its associated activation for early access scripts no longer apply to new updates for these scripts. Existing licenses for older versions will still function, but this system will not be used for future GTA V script updates.
Manual Transmission & Wheel Support
In the long-term, to provide stability and more flexibility, the wheel support module in Manual Transmission is planned to be decoupled from the main script. Manual Transmission itself will continue to offer all functionality and become early access/free, but does not natively support steering wheels anymore, which is off-loaded to the wheel support part.
Wheel input support will be offered as a stand-alone component, separate from the context of GTA V, and may be used by other compatibility layers like Manual Transmission in other future projects and games. This standalone component will continue to use the Patreon-integrated activation method with License Generator.
The end result should work identically to the current integrated solution, but offer me more flexibility as a developer and allows re-use of my steering wheel logic in other projects.
