Hello my lovely Patrons,
As we get ready to say goodbye to winter (and honestly, I couldn’t be more ready for that! Spring is always my favourite season!), I wanted to create something that captures the welcoming of spring.
Three rusalkas calling for spring’s arrival as the snow slowly melts around them. In Poland, we have a tradition of drowning Marzanna on the first day of spring—Marzanna being the personification of winter—so we say goodbye to the cold in a pretty brutal way! This tradition inspired my piece, though I decided to take more chill approach lmao
This illustration will be a part of February Patreon goodies as well and I hope to share with you the finished piece quite soon!
Love,
Toshia
