Hi folks!
Two weeks of work on v0.58 gone - in the foreground is Guðrún's part of the update and the rework of Arvo's key plot, with my diagnosis and new meds in the background.
First things first - I'm currently working mostly on new scenes for Guðrún's route, while looking back at the earlier days too. I started with her as some of her scenes will be the glue between Lake and Jørgen's parts of the update - there will be quite a few joint scenes between the routes, and starting with her helps me not to skew the balance inside them in any direction. So far I have around 6k words written - a bit behind schedule, but not tragically, considering all the other work that was done.
The rework for the whole subplot with the key is pretty much ready and waiting for testing. I'd rather be sure everything is coherent and in the best shape it can be before I release it to the public. Along with that rework, I combed through some of the Day 1 scenes, but far from all, and improved the writing a bit - a very needed thing too.
All that happens against the backdrop of my health situation - this month I (finally) got diagnosed with ADHD after years of thinking I might have it, but not being motivated enough to seek help. I started with meds right away. It seems like I was lucky and what I got was the right fit - I genuinely feel so much better, calm and functioning on them, as if after years of brain fog everything suddenly came into focus. Terrible sleep seems to be the only downside so far, but that should subside soon.
Encouraged by how great the change was, I decided to taper off anti-anxiety meds that I started taking earlier this year. They helped me immensely, but the core issue behind my anxiety was my ADHD that I'm now controlling better. The withdrawal has been nasty as hell and so far has turned this week into a nightmare. I might be less active the coming days - bear with me while I wait this out.
Thank you all!-Keo
