Real life has been very distracting lately, but I'm hoping that this week is going to be super chill so I can just sit down and draw a bunch. I'm really enjoying My Adventures with Superman so far. I think it has exactly the sort of cute and light-hearted vibe that Superman was always meant to have. Making him dark and edgy is essentially giving him the "modern audiences" treatment, which is always, always, always a mistake. I really hate it when people try to "fix" something that they don't understand. It's like watching chimpanzees using microscope as a hammer. The chimpanzee thinks it's doing something smart, but it isn't, and we can all see that. My only complaint about My Adventures of Superman is that I don't really like this version of Livewire so far. In the original animated series, she's a sassy, sexy, sparky shockjock. Her power and personality matched. It was a whole picture. Now she's just a generic paramilitary goon with some technology. Boring. Dull. Sub-boss. I think they're going to build her up to something more, but she's boring so far.
