Evening sets and the beast bellows! He demands to be filled. He must be appeased! Few are courageous enough to face the creature and attend to his indomitable cravings - Yet we try. We try, for we must.
We waddle the howling beast to an all you can eat stir fry restaurant in order to quell his ravenous desires. He ate, he feasted. But he was not soothed. We attempted to retrieve an entire cake to appease his lust for sweets but the shop had been woefully overturned.
Lo! We were forced to rest our hopes on the heads of 8 berry and chantilly cream cupcakes.

At last! Fortune favours us! They were of sufficient quality and the offering appeased the vile creature’s unrelenting demands for sweet treats.
He gnashed and gnawed at the daintily decorated pastries deep into the night. The beast’s voracious hunger was temporarily held at bay! His attention turned to his own overfed and distended form. The gentle devotee offers succor to the pained creature by bravely handling and rubbing the immensity before him. He lulls the beast dutifully and expertly, to rest.
We rejoice!
Yet before long, we hang our heads. For we know that the calm is brief. We know that it would be naught but a few moons before he would require another feast - another offering. We know this beast. We have met him, time and again.
He is insatiable. His appetite, burdensome and unrelenting.
We cannot release him from need.
Yet we try.
We try, for we must…
