Happy New Year everyone! 2025 has unexpectedly been one of the most successful years for me ever, and I have all of you to thank for that! I'm genuinely beyond grateful for everything you've done for me this year!~ As I write this, I'm in the middle of moving into a new, much better apartment. It's been a taxing process, but I have some extra time this morning so I decided to finally bite the bullet and write this post! I've tried several times to write something like this, and I've scrapped every single draft. This will be the one to break the cycle!
So, most importantly, THANK YOU! Genuinely. Your continued support has allowed me to keep my commission prices relatively low, and also fund a bunch of side projects that I would never get paid for otherwise. So much good art has come of it, and I hope you all have enjoyed it so far. I have lots of plans for next year, and I'm gonna touch on that some in this post!
Firstly though, I have to address something. Over my time online, I've had a big internal debate with myself about para sociality- how much should I share about myself, my mental state, my life, my relationships. In the past, I think I've been a bit too open, and it's left me with a lot of undue mental stress/regret. As my accounts continue to grow in size, I'm planning to pull back a bit and be a bit more private with stuff in general. For instance, I had a girlfriend for the first time ever last year, and I didn't really talk about it much, if at all, publicly. We broke up, and that was that. Things such as that I'm just not gonna talk too in-depth about, as I feel it's far too private to share. Much less would I want people invested directly in stuff like that.
That being said, I do still want to remain open emotionally to my followers. To achieve that, I plan on just... answering any questions you may have individually. So, if you have ANY questions about more private aspects, give me a DM sometime and I'll do my best to give you a good answer! I love talking about the creative process, emotional stuff about being a creator online, and so on and so forth. So, ESPECIALLY if it could help you, please feel free to reach out and give me a shout!~
Now, onto my plans for 2026!
The main thing I want to do heading into this new year is to make 2026 the year of my RETURN TO COMICS. I used to make comics all the time when I first started out, and I honestly miss it. I think the internet is bereft of good esoteric TF and possession comics/hentai, especially in America. So, I want to try to fill that gap. I have lots of concepts, lots of ideas, and lots of potential plans!
Now that being said, comics take A LOT OF TIME and ENERGY on my part. After a considerable amount of thinking, I think I've found a solution to fund their development. The commission queue as we've known it for the past couple of years will be NO MORE. I will stop offering full render commissions as they take far too much time and effort. Over the past year, i've found I'm most motivated to do commissions when I can quickly get in, and out of any piece. So instead of the standard queue, I'm planning to just do Wing-it commission streams almost every Wednesday, and a SLOW-BURN sketch commission queue along side it.
I am a bit sad to say that full render commissions aren't gonna be offered for the foreseeable future, but the time/effort/payout ratio just doesn't work out. Especially if I plan to be working on comics. There may be exceptions to this, but it will be rare and only if I'm motivated to upgrade a commission to a higher render level.
To supplement my comic endeavors and a potentially slower release schedule, I'm also going to start commissioning a lot of my artist friends a lot more often. I've realized that doing that counts as a business expense, especially if I post it to Patreon as content for ya'll! I've been feeling extremely bad over the past couple of years when things got tough after moving out and I had to unsubscribe from other patreons and stop commissioning as much- I really want to give back to all the wonderful artists around me and help them out too.
That being said, the last thing I want is for my Patreon to turn into a commission mill where I stop drawing and only do commissioning. That's been the route some other artists have taken over the years, and I'm just far too motivated for originality to go down that route.
We might even start doing polls for those! That's another thing I've been feeling really bad about. The lack of polls over the past year. I realized with the last poll we did, that polls to decide ideas for me to draw rob me of motivation. It feels like it takes the control away from me, which is demotivating. Instead, I think we're going to shift how we do them. It's too much to go into right now, but expect more details next year. Potential options are like, voting on outfit designs and character concepts, etc etc.
I'm also planning to do more with merch over 2026, although I don't have many details about that at the moment. We'll probably do some voting to decide what the next sticker drop should be, as I think I need to do something that's not Fayne, and won't out anybody if it's on their laptop or something public facing. Probably some things from the various favorite franchises that I'm a fan of.
Although successful, the amount of sticker sales was a little disappointing. I was also disappointed with the process of mailing the stickers overseas. There just was no garuantee the letter would actually make it, and even more of a garuantee that if it didn't it was lost forever. I'm not really sure what to do about that, but I'll have to figure something out. I also desperately want to start selling prints, but that's a whole other ordeal we'll deal with when I get to it.
Alright, this post is getting pretty long, but I've run out of ideas for what to say. So, Happy New Year everyone! If you have any questions, especially about anything I've forgotten to mention, PLEASE feel free to comment them and I'll answer them!
As always, drink water, stretch, and don't forget to take deep breathes while looking up at the clouds. Relax your body and mind, because stress is a slow and insidious killer! Let's all make 2026 a year to remember!!
