Editing Update 8/14
DESCRIPTION

Right off the bat: 8/15 will NOT be an upload day. I can say that with certainty. However, progress is steady and we are closing in. The above image shows the timeline as it exists right now. The most important indicator of "what's left" is the highlighted red audio on the right side of the image. That's what is left of my own narration, which is the 'spine' of the video. It'll be chopped up and filled in with guest speakers, but it's a great indicator as to how close we are to the end.

It looks like the video will be around ~4 hours, 5 mins long. I am currently working on Mariner 10's outbound observations of Earth and Moon. We take a surprise little pit-stop and give the Earth a descriptive treatment as if we were visiting it for the first time. Most of the information is focused on the Earth's subsurface structure, once we smoke over a brief description of the landmasses and global ocean.

Tomorrow will be focused on the Mercury segment, and the 16th will be focused on the outro.

This film will take somewhere between 7 to 9 hours to render. That's an incredibly long amount of time at high computing power. I will of course be holding my breath the entire time and whispering words of encouragement to my CPU and GPU, but the important detail here is that render and upload ITSELF will take around 12-13 hours altogether.

I expect rendering to begin on the evening of the 16th, and the video should be available around mid-day on the 17th. I will make a community post on the channel the moment the early viewing version goes live, and of course post a link here.

Fingers crossed, we're so close!
