Hello, everyone! Just wanted to write a quick blurb to folks who are becoming supporters from the Mariner film -- thank you so, so much -- and welcome! I write up one of these a couple of days after each film just because I know that navigating this Patreon can sometimes be challenging -- I like to keep you in the loop, well-informed, and I post multiple times per month. Everyone can soon look forward to a new Patron-exclusive video going behind the scenes of how the CGI in this latest film was made, and I am currently in the process of uploading the latest film to the google drive for download/offline viewing.

Here is a playlist to the Patron-only YouTube channel. I don't upload raw footage here, but rather this is for the occasional 'exclusive content' which is largely just behind-the-scenes looks, technology demonstrations and so forth. Raw footage is handled through the Google Drive and is dependent upon tiers, etc. If you have any issues or questions whatsoever, please always feel free to DM me via Patreon and I will get back to you as soon as I can (typically within 1-2 days).
It is a running policy of this channel, and has been the case in the past -- that I have paused subscriptions if I am unable to effectively work that month towards a new film. However, given the fact that I am now doing this full time (made possible by you), that will likely only be the case in the event of something fairly catastrophic. Either way, it is always my intention to foster transparency and trust on this Patreon -- the way I see it, you are now stakeholders in Homemade Documentaries, and I am accountable to you. You are all collectively, in effect "my boss", and I wouldn't have it any other way.
The next film that I am going to be working on is Apollo 8: Remastered, both in tribute to Jim Lovell and in anticipation of the upcoming Artemis II mission. I hope to release it around the time of the anniversary this year, so around mid to late December. The next large purchase will be related to ASTP launch angles, for a project next spring.
I'd like to finish by saying that Mariner and Voyager are certainly going to be uniquely important films on this channel.
There's really only one opportunity you get to make a sweeping introduction to a large part of the solar system. What I mean to say is -- while there will certainly be other "robotic" videos, such as Mars Rovers, Space Telescopes, Cassini, New Horizons etc, it's likely that none of them will come close to touching the scale and philosophy of these films. I suppose what I am trying to say is: "They can't ALL be Voyagers". I'm incredibly pleased that the latest release is doing so well, and it really does look like a grand slam based on the numbers I'm seeing. I realize that Americans and Russians shaking hands and filming each other in space, while important -- may not be as philosophically meaningful as defining our solar system. There may be some projects that pale in comparison to Mariner simply because of what's being covered. Space Shuttle '84 is a good example of this -- a video that plateaued fairly hard, for it's a relatively niche subject without much curb appeal.
