I’m breaking one of my longest standing personal rules here. I normally am pretty averse to democratizing the direction of the channel, only because I’ve always felt strongly that the best work can only be realized if the creator is the wellspring of ideas. I don’t do commissions and I’m always trying to pursue and realize my own visualizations. The video schedule as previously posted was also created for financial reasons, limiting the amount of ‘expensive’ films etc (Venera and Apollo 9 are to save money for Skylab, etc). That being said, I have become increasingly convinced that there’s a perfect amount of material to do a combined film on Artemis I and II, and if you all were amenable to the idea, I could slot it in between ASTP and Venera, effectively implementing a 4-month delay to the normal video schedule. Not sure how you all felt about it, but I have access to people who work currently at NASA and would be able to get unique individual perspectives, alongside the copious amounts of footage that exists and will be made accessible after II’s splashdown. I could see myself relishing either project, and I think we have ourselves a very rare instance where I could honestly go either way on this. I’d love to know what all of you think, so I’m opening this poll up to all Patrons. What should the September film be: Artemis (Part One), or Venera?
