🎉 Hey everyone!! Long time no see! It’s been a while since my last post back in late February… and now we’re already in May 😳🔥First of all, thank you so much for sticking around and supporting the project during this time. It really means a lot 🫶
Today I want to show you some of the progress we’ve been making for the next big update of Lucky Us 👀✨
🎨 Sprite Updates & Clothing Fixes
We’ve been polishing and improving a lot of the character sprites!
This includes:
Fixes to proportions and expressions 🧩
New clothing variations 👕
General visual improvements to make scenes feel more alive
🐊 New Character Reveal (Name Pending!)
Say hello to a new side character joining the story… 👀🔥
A big, muscular crocodile and our new fitness coach! 💪🐊He’ll play an important role helping Travis grow stronger (and maybe pushing him a little too hard 😏)

We’ve started a Discord dynamic where people can suggest names, and soon we’ll open a poll for everyone to vote on the final one! 🗳️

📓 Diary System Upgrade
I’ve been putting a lot of work into improving the Diary System!
It will now:
Work as a gallery (CGs, sprites, etc.) 🖼️
Keep track of story events/snips across playthroughs 📖
Provide extra lore and character info outside the main story 👀
The goal is to make it a much more useful and rewarding system to explore between scenes.
🛠️ Update Progress
Right now, I’m focusing mainly on CGs after the sprite revamp 🎨🔥
Most of the coding should be finished soon, so the remaining work is largely visual.
📅 The goal is to release the next update early next month, depending on CG progress
Some CGs may be released as sketches first, depending on time, here’s an example of what that might look like:
