It's been a while since the last update, I still haven't made a proper post-house-fire update post, and I have a few important things to let you all know about, so it's time for one of these formal announcement posts again. I'm having a bit of trouble getting my thoughts together, so this might be a bit rambling, but I'll try to say everything that's relevant.
New Stream Format
For those of you that have made it to recent streams, you've probably already noticed the new format, but here's a quick rundown of the changes.
Rather than doing solely lined sketches, I've started doing colored sketches as live on-stream commissions. This is the new monthly sketch reward for those in the highest tier, and is currently available for $12 (if you're in the second highest tier) or $18 (for everyone else). These discounted commissions still need to match the theme(s), though.
Stream Themes and Commissions
Much like the old sketches, the new stream comms will have to match the themes that'll be on the menu for the month.
For the last few streams I've been sticking with the themes of the last few months that I haven't been able to get to, but we'll select a new monthly theme together in the next few days, and that'll replace the old ones once I work through the current stream queue.
Additionally, I'll have a second theme on the menu for each stream that's just based on what I'm in the mood for that day. Maybe I'll call it a daily special. Either way, I figure it'd be a good way to play into my temporary strengths and motivations from day to day.
When you get a stream comm, you'll be able to pick whichever theme you like from the menu (meaning that in the future, you'll have about two choices at basically every stream). If I get speedier at drawing, then I might even start offering fully lined (probably storybook-style) on-stream comms, but that's something for the future.
Naturally, I won't be taking stream commissions on every stream (some will focus on other things), but I'll try to do it more often than not.
Catching up on Reward Sketches (and more Options)
This section is for those of you in the highest tier who still haven't gotten their reward sketches. I've been keeping track of what I owe you, and I've got an offer to hopefully straighten out things in a speedy fashion (which I already worked out with Xyron for his recent graduation picture).
If you want, you can cash out owed sketches for a fuller commission, either as an upgrade to a sketch within the themes, or put them towards a completely separate commission (like one that you wanted earlier and I haven't gotten to yet). This is probably just a temporary thing to get everything squared away, but we'll see how it goes.
Since there's only about a dozen of you, I'll check in with you guys about what you'd each like to do regarding this. Getting individual sketches is still an option of course, but I think it'd be nice to do more complete pieces with you all. If I don't get in touch, please feel free to message at any time.
Things for the Future
Once I'm more or less caught up, I'll try to open up general commissions again, and maybe even do those on some streams. I'm also still working on the comic and other long term projects, which you guys will see first.
It's really hard to stay focused, but I'm trying my best, and I appreciate you all for sticking with me through all of this.
