I felt like taking a break and doing a little drawing of Ivy, just taking a break herself 😌☕️
As to my process:
-I usually do at least 2 layers of sketching. This is because of something I learned about sketching: your sketches always look amazing because your eye can find the best looking lines in all the messy jumble, and your brain fills in what looks best. So I started doing multiple rounds of sketching to give my brain a chance to find the best lines and actually draw them!
-I love using rough brushes for inking. This is the “Shale” brush in procreate! It’s a calligraphy brush!
-I always use clipping masks to color, it means I only have to be careful a little bit! And when it comes to shading, I like to do it all on a normal layer, and then BOOM turn it to multiply! It goes from “meh” to “yeeessss” so fast haha.
-Then I just keep playing and shading and blending and moving stuff around till I’m happy with it! Let me know if you have any questions! And look for the post on Instagram soon 😉✨🍃⚒️
