Hi all you fine people! Hope your weeks are starting off on a good foot, like the right one or even the secret middle one.
For those of you who are new here, I try to offer at least one update a month about future videos and any other things I wanna tell you. This is that offering!
FOR-SURE DEFINITELY-HAPPENING-SOON VIDEOS
Next up on the docket should be the annual Grammys check-in. While it's normally come out a day or two before the ceremony, this year I'll be putting it out a few days beforehand.
After that will be a video related to the Super Bowl. The first Super Bowl video I've ever done! I'm shocked I haven't talked about it in my eight years of doing videos, but there's a fascinating story about the halftime show that I haven't seen many people speak on.
Given how both the Grammys and the Super Bowl have set dates, those two videos are set in stone to come out near the events.
VIDEO IDEAS AFTER THAT
Once those two videos are done, I have a bunch of ideas that are currently taking shape. They include:
A deep dive in vocaloids and how they connect with the broader AI music convo (not saying vocaloids are AI, I know they're not)
The first-ever "one hit wonder"
"Music isn't fun anymore" - tackling this feeling of general music disinterest that I keep seeing online, and finding out what deeper things are going on
A history of YouTuber diss tracks - Ricegum, iDubbbz, Pewdiepie, etc.
Payola in music, where it started, and if it truly exists today
Counting down the most expensive vinyl records ever sold
The next DDD (which will be voted on by all y'all, I'll announce the poll for that in the future)
(Keep in mind, these are all in early stages, so the specific ideas might change as time goes on.)
Right now, I'm researching and building out these ideas, but I also wanted to see which of these you'd want to see first. So below, I've got a poll - feel free to vote for whichever video ideas you're most interested in.
