LOOKING BACK ON STEVIE (Sung to the tune of I Wish)
Gotta say, I'm very happy with how the Stevie Wonder DDD came out, but MAN I'm also glad to now empty my mind and rest. Especially after the marathon last week to edit and get the video out. But again, I'm happy with it, and I hope you all enjoyed it.
This DDD update is gonna be a lil different - instead of covering an artist, this is a check-in about how this first run at a more community-oriented DDD went, plus a few words on the next one.
First off, in case you joined recently - the Stevie Wonder DDD was a test for a new way of doing pre-production for the series. In the before times, it was me just hunkering down for a while, teasing the artist with random memes, then putting out a DDD. With Stevie, not only was he chosen by you lovely Patrons (the return of the DDD Decision!), but I would share weekly updates on him, his albums, script writing, etc.
THE DDD DECISION
This bit is short - I'm 100% bringing back the poll for the next artist. I have plans to modify the list to be a bit more encompassing, with artists of all genres and sizes. (For context, the last poll was just the 25 artists who were most popular from the previous poll all the way back in 2024.)
THE DDD UPDATE
For this specifically, I've got a Google form linked below where you can leave feedback about these updates.
One of the questions is "do you want to see these updates continue for the next DDD?", and while I'll hold off on official confirmation until I see what you all think, I'd like to keep doing them! They've been a good way to share in-progress thoughts as I work on the videos, which I hope is valuable to you, and they also keep me in check and on schedule lol.

(And btw, in the last update I asked if the weekly pace of update posts was good for y'all, and the vast majority of you said yes. So they'll stay weekly!)
STATUS OF THE NEXT DDD
I do plan to take a wee break from DDD-ing in order to clear my mind and to get out some other videos. (Including one that has ballooned to rather large proportions since I started researching it!)
However, you will not have to wait long to vote on the next DDD. The next poll will be going up in the near future. But speaking of the next poll:
A QUESTION ABOUT THE NEXT POLL
If you participated in the last DDD poll, you might know that while Stevie took the number 1 spot, Beyonce took number 2. That means there's a fairly high chance that she could be the next artist to get a DDD.
However, many folks pointed out that Act 3 (her next album) is heavily rumored to come out this year, and a DDD would feel incomplete without it. On the other hand though, we don't know for sure if it will! There's been no official word from her or her people.
So I wanna ask all of you - would you prefer that I not include Beyonce in the next poll so that her DDD could include Act 3?
