This update is a massive step forward for the project.
For those too lazy to read, there's some very important information and a preview of the new renders at the end of the post.
Work on the new update is in full swing. Right now I’m spending around 7–10 hours a day on the project, and a huge amount of work has already been done—especially fixing issues from previous updates: renders, animations, and story elements have all been significantly improved.
The new update is reaching a completely new level—both in terms of scene quality and animations, as well as the dynamics between characters.
Additionally, updates will now be much larger in scope.Previously, playtime was around ~20–40 minutes,but now I’m aiming for 1–2 hours of content per update.
It’s still hard to say the exact duration of this version (it’s not finished or fully tested yet),but even now, with about 30–40% completed, it already offers around 50 minutes of gameplay.
At the very bottom of the post, I've attached new renders so you can compare their quality with previous updates.
Important note on timing
Work is still ongoing, and I’m not sure if I’ll be able to finish everything by next week.It has become significantly harder to maintain the previous schedule (once every 2 weeks),because I’m now working on the game much more thoroughly.
So most likely, updates will be released: every 2–4 weeks
Even so, that’s still faster than most developers.
Important change
Since this update represents a major leap forward (graphics, dynamics, overall presentation),I’ve decided to split the project:
The new version will be called:Forbidden Thoughts: Chapter 2
And updates will now be labeled as:Update 1, Update 2, etc.
At this point, it can essentially be considered a new game, so this separation makes sense.
About the delay
If the update doesn’t release next Thursday,it will be released the following week.
