At first, I was making the house larger to leave room for characters I plan to add later on. But after thinking about it more carefully, I’m starting to prefer an apartment-style system instead — smaller spaces built around characters who are closer to each other living together.
Part of the reason is that I do not want every relationship in the cast to feel the same. Not every character should live with the same level of closeness, and not every dynamic should be treated as if it carries the same weight. I think separating them a little more like this will make the house feel more believable, and the relationships more distinct.
At the end of the day, if the characters feel like empty dolls, the NSFW content won’t be nearly as enjoyable. "A lot of the appeal comes from knowing they actually feel like someone."
