Ultimate Fairy

Chapter 1

1) Cold open: Worth Woodsea, near Nirvana

Ben jolts awake in a damp, foggy marsh with the looming, vine-choked tree and eerie atmosphere. This is Nirvana’ resting spot.

He checks the Omnitrix: it’s flashing green and throws an error: “Unknown environmental particles detected. Adaptive reboot in progress.”

Lockouts: no transformations, no communicator, no diagnostics beyond basic reboot status.

Ben clocks Nirvana’s “wrongness” in the environment (tingle in the air, static on his skin, faint hum in the tree).

2) Inciting encounter: the river and the Vulcan

Ben follows a trail out of the marsh and reaches the river.

The Vulcan shows up territorial and furious and tosses Ben into the river (same role as canon).

Ben tries to fight back but can’t transform. He barely manages to keep his head above water, and is knocked unconscious.

3) Rescue: Wendy, Carla, and Maguna

On the riverbank, Wendy, Carla, and Maguna (OC Cait Shelter member) are fishing and training her river spell (Maguna encouraging, Carla blunt, Wendy trying not to cry).

Wendy spots Ben resting on a log near the bank and they pull him in.

4) Cait Shelter

Ben wakes in the teepee/house after Wendy heals him (keep the “Healing Magic / Sky Magic” discovery moment, but adjust his reactions: awe and curiosity.

Pepel (OC Cait Shelter member) offers to repair his jacket.

Roubaul arrives, studies Ben carefully, and connects the location to Nirvana’s resting place.

5) Exposition with teeth: guilds, Fiore, and Ben’s “not-magic”

Roubaul explains Cait Shelter is both village and guild; Wendy is eager to share, Carla is terse. (You can keep the “Cait Shelter is small” vibe.)

Rewrite the “map to jog memory” angle into:

Wendy shows Ben a map so he can orient himself and choose a route.

Ben learns “Fiore / Jewels / guilds” basics (seed this now; expand later).

Ben explains the Omnitrix in plain language:

“It’s a device. Not magic. It looks like magic here, but it’s science… usually.”

He proves it’s currently deadlocked in a reboot, which reduces Roubaul’s fear slightly.

6) Bonding beat: Wendy’s confidence

Later that day, Ben watches Wendy train again. He gives her practical coaching and advice on how she can use her Wind spells more effectively in fights.

Unable to transform due to the Omnitrix still being stuck in reboot mode.

8) Night visit: Paradox (end-of-chapter gut punch)

That night, time stills and Paradox appears.

Paradox confirms:

Ben is one of the Echo Echo offshoots (not Prime),

he’s in Earthland, and

the Omnitrix reboot is an adaptive response to a magic-saturated environment (Ethernano particles).

Emotional beat: Ben is devastated about what he is (a copy who doesn’t get to go home). Paradox gives the same “you still matter, you still get a life” style pep talk.

9) Decision: Ben chooses the road

Morning after: Ben tells Wendy/Roubaul he’s leaving once he’s steady.

“If I’m stuck here, I’m not wasting it hiding in one village. I’m finding answers, cities, guilds, and a way to make this work.”

Wendy rushes off into the forest, upset that Ben is leaving.

10) Hook into Chapter 2: Wendy encounters the Vulcan in the woods

A/N: For those who’ve read or are familiar with my old “A Lost Hero’s Fairytale” story, the opening here is similar to that one. However, chapter 2 and onward will diverge from that story with alternative events.
