We Are! sails on music streaming platforms [October 2024]

For some, the sights of golden leaves and crisp mornings make Autumn a favourite season for many. However, in the world of Japanese animation, where we call it Fall, it’s once again a time of brand new music to listen to from some of our favourite anime.

There are some brand-new tracks for fresh series and familiar tunes returning in sequels, so there’s a great mix for everyone. Artists both new and well-loved provide this season’s catalogue.

Let's dive into some of the highlights of the new season!

The popular series 2.5 Dimensional Seduction features "Release Sigh," a new ending track performed by Ririsa Amano (CV: Kaori Maeda), Mikari Tachibana (CV: Akari Kito), Nonoa (CV: Sayumi Suzushiro), and Aria Kisaki (CV: Sayumi Watabe). Meanwhile, 365 Days to the Wedding brings in MARUMOCHI from HoneyWorks and HaKoniwalily with "Kirakira" for its opening, and GOHOBI's "Tsumari wa" as the ending. Acro Trip, a show known for its eccentric adventures, adds "Reversible Baby" by KanoeRana to its repertoire.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Conflict comes along with the opening theme "Kotoba ni Sezu Tomo" by SIX LOUNGE and the ending "MONOCHROME" by suisoh. Blue Box appeals to fans of Official HIGE DANdism, offering "Same Blue" as its opening and Eve's "Teenage Blue" as the ending.

Other notable releases include Blue Lock vs. U-20 Japan, featuring an intense opening with "Boujaku no Charisma" by UNISON SQUARE GARDEN.  Dandadan has Creepy Nuts' "Otonoke" as its opening track. Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Disturbance brings Tatsuya Kitani & natori’s "Iranai Mono" for its opening, encapsulating the historical drama’s essence with a modern musical twist.

Aside from these anime series, some unique off-season releases enhance the lineup. Oshi no Ko’s second season, for example, includes “POP IN 2” as an insert song performed by the show’s fictional idol group, B-Komachi.
