UPDATE!
Lot's of exciting things are happening for Thomas Fans and Train fans alike as 2024 comes to a close. This weekend, there's another train show in Edison, New Jersey. Lot's of Thomas Fans have been known to get together at this venue in recent years.
If you're planning on attending, keep an eye out for me. I'll be there this weekend not only to see friends and check out all the trains, I'll also be a featured sponsor of Vincente22's Fan Film's premiere, Bad Influence. It's a two and a half hour production featuring wooden railway with trainz face animation. It's a beautiful and emotional story with some action and spectacle thrown into the mix. Even if you can't make the in-person premiere, you'll be able to see it online in 3 parts before the end of November.
In addition to the Edison Train Show, there's another event going on in Milwaukee Wisconsin! The Northwestern Modelers will be putting on another Gauge 1 Model Display at an event called Trainfest. If New Jersey is too far away, there's a chance Milwaukee may be more in your reach.
A few people have commented "what about YOUR projects Matt? And. Eh. That's a very good point. After the Short Line Model Railroad, there is one more project (that is not mine!) that I would like to promote before the end of the year. It is something I have had the pleasure of being involved in and seeing it manifest from the ground-up. This project is Tines Sensahthe's Tobias and the Arcane Merchant. If you're familiar with Tobias and the Half-Pariah, you know this is gonna be cool as hell. Tines is a legend. Keep an eye out for more information about his next installment's release date, as well as some fun ways you can watch it happen.
NOW. ENTERPRISING ENGINES. I've held my cards close to my chest, but I'm really excited with what I was able to work on this year. We'll take it one step at a time!
In December, a new 23 minute episode of Enterprising Engines will premiere. It's called Shell on Wheels, and takes place in Season 3. Paxton and Thomas have lead roles, and it features the long awaited return of Donald and Douglas. Voice actors, please finish your lines so I can send the final scenes to animators!
