Word reaches Cinderella that the Prince is personally combing the village to find the maiden who fits a single glass slipper—the very one she lost in her haste to flee the royal ball. She confesses to her stepmother and stepsisters that she is the one he is searching for, but they dismiss her claims.

Their disbelief shatters, however, when she presents the magnificent gown from that night. The terrible truth dawns on them: Cinderella is to become royalty. The prince's vow to marry the shoe's owner meant her fate was sealed. But envy and greed corrupt their hearts, for they refuse to let Cinderella have her happiness. A sinister plot is hatched: to steal her destiny for themselves. Their plan begins by luring the unsuspecting Cinderella into the attic...
