A fresh start | Status Report #07
Thank you to everyone who stuck around after I cancelled CoM, and thank you to everyone who joined the Patreon. The past few weeks, a lot has changed, and I want to take my time to address it all.
The End of Covenant of Morn
When I announced the cancellation of CoM, I was certain my Patreon would take a huge hit — which, as many of you know, is pretty much my only source of income right now. I was afraid of losing my job and disappointing a lot of people. The latter, I probably did.
Yet so many of you stuck around. I couldn’t believe it at first. But a few days after I made the announcement, it began to sink in — you were actually staying. I suddenly realized that I’m not alone on this journey. You’re actually with me. I develop the games, with my ideas and my hands — but in a way, the games are ours. Your trust is what makes it possible.
And I thank you for that. It is truly special. Your responses have lifted me up. I’m excited about my future as an erotic game dev. There are so many games I want to make, so many ideas I want to explore, and so much trust that I want to give back.
The Beginning of My Girl Loves Handcuffs
And it all starts with MGLH. So many new people have joined with the latest release, and I want to send out a warm welcome to each and every one of you. Welcome to the Patreon — I hope you’ll like it here. I now know that it’s a tight-knit group.
MGLH is a small project focused on the sexy dynamic between the main characters, a little mystery plot, and lots of sex. So the next update, version 0.3, will focus mainly on that — a lot of sex.
Since the release of version 0.2, I took some time off and then got back to work. I managed to:
Animate and render the first new sex scene of 0.3
Animate and render the second new sex scene of 0.3
Add a new little story event
Fix some typos and (hopefully) some bugs
A Fresh Start
So I start anew — with a new game and a changed view on what I do and for whom. I’ve never been happier to be here.
I don’t have the same enthusiasm I had when I first started over six years ago, or the insane high I felt when MIST finished and I earned so much money. But right now, I feel the safest and calmest I’ve ever been with what I do.
I feel like I can explore and enjoy — and that is a great privilege. Thanks.
