DESCRIPTION

Sup.

Dev Stuff.

Well, I’d love to give you a hard date for the next release, but I can’t. Soon. That’s about all I can say. We needed more time on the animations and even thought we’d lost a ton of work at one point. We found it but that was the best part of a day, trying to sort out.

The thing is, this episode is too important to not give the time it needs.

The animations are just about there but there is a lot of rendering to do which just takes time.

In the meantime, I have added a couple of things, which brings me to the topic of today’s Blog.

Feedback.

God, I’d love to say that it’s all just good all the time, we get everything right and make no mistakes and anyone saying otherwise is a hater.

I’d love to, but I can’t.

We recently split MBD:Kingpin away from the first game on a certain website named with a letter and a number. I dare not speak its name, such is its dark power. This was a controversial move, but most things are controversial over there. One of the big reasons was, so we could better see what people are saying about Kingpin separately from the first game.

And people have a lot to say.

I mentioned haters and, oh boy, that’s a thing. The level of vitriol can sometimes be exhausting. The issue is, that maybe, just maybe, there is something in there that is valid. You can kind of tell when it is. When it leaves a little pit in your stomach, that they may just have a sliver of a point. There may be something there.

Here it’s a lot easier. Generally speaking, you guys are fans and want the best for the game that you enjoy. Feedback certainly carries more weight here than on other sites. Also, it tends to come in a clearer and more respectful tone which also helps in taking it seriously.

We listen.

Honestly we do. Sometimes we can’t change something this far in or we may not agree enough to implement it, but we still hear it.

Sometimes that little pit in the stomach comes out in a big sigh, and we say, “Okay, that’s a really good point.”

Edits.

So, while I’m waiting on the animations, we took the time to add two changes based on feedback of two Patreons of ours Tom and Reaperkiller.

Needed to be clearer.

The first is already implemented. There was a feeling that the NTS scene of Randall sending the girls out to get info from the bullies felt too NTR. It did. I hadn’t set the rules of that interaction up clearly enough. The girls were going to use as much sexual interaction as they needed to, short of actual sex, to deal with them, and so they did. That had to come from Randall more clearly, so I changed a few lines to make the rules clearer.

I'm not touching that.

The other was regarding Lucia and a dissonance in how she behaves at the start of Kingpin. If you didn’t sleep with her in the first game, that sex scene felt too abrupt. I have commissioned a few extra renders and have now put in an option to leave it at a cuddle in that first scene. If you turn her down when you go to her house, you can then block her from having sex with her in other scenes. At the moment, that means that, while she tries to push Randall into something during the last scene of the last release, they will not have sex.

That one will be implemented with the next release.

So, let us know.

Like I say, we won’t always do it for multiple reasons, but if you don’t say anything, then we will never get that awkward, twisting feeling that you may just have a point.

Cheers.
