Starscreamers! Here’s a quick update on what’s been happening! I kicked off this year with a clear goal: get Godspeedmoving forward. And good news—we’re getting closer! I received a “minimum guarantee” offer of $7 million from our distributor. Just to clarify, that doesn’t mean I have $7 million on hand. It’s more of a “promise that investors can get their money back” kind of deal, which makes it easier for me to secure real investment.
Now, I’m not saying it’s a perfect situation—lawyers will definitely have their hands full with this one. But for doing things indie, this is a step in the right direction.
We’re also working on a plan to get things started quickly. Diving into the business side can be a bit overwhelming, but I know it’s necessary to find the funding we need. The hope is to hit the festival circuit and make some ripples.
In terms of HAUNT HOUNDS, we’re currently editing a new episode with Thomas, and we’re preparing for a three-night, one-location shoot in Salt Lake City. Someone has even offered us a location for free, which is exciting! Going to do a exclusive LIVE STREAM for you all there too. We’re also planning a second trip to Indiana soon.
As for my COMEDY SPECIAL, I have a bunch of new material ready to go. The moment I get those new time slots at the venue, I’ll be booking it.
Moving on to FORWARD AS ALWAYS: We’ve started outlining Book 2. Jake is currently dealing with COVID, so we’ve paused that until he’s back to normal. I still have some red cover books available, and I might run a buy-one-get-one deal on Star Cadet to get them out there. I have a library of one book at Star Cadet haha Plus, I’ll have a few free copies for any Starscreamer who still wants one.
We’ve also formed a new sketch comedy group! Scripts are written, and we’ll be shooting soon. We even have a name and secured our social handles! That's when you know it's almost real.
Lastly, I’ve taken on a new gig at Glitch. I can’t share details just yet, but it should be announced by the end of the year. So, we’re pushing forward, and with any luck, we’ll keep making progress!
More very, Starscreamers!
