Hey everyone - hope you don't have plans for this weekend, because R010 is officially dropping on Friday! Here's a preview on what's coming and what I've been working on...
First off, I rewrote most of the game's animation engine. I took the original animation engine from an older game, but it wasn't purpose-built for ROTN, so it was kinda like squeezing a Corvette engine into a Tesla -- you can make it work, but you're gonna have issues. So I spent a good amount of this release cycle rewriting the engine, and I really like how it works now. It's smoother, faster, less glitchy/flickery, and -- most importantly -- it now allows me to extend the capabilities of the engine. Which is important for...
The new Ally feature! Many of you asked for a friend/ally feature in the game, and I listened. R010 will introduce your first ally, which will help Nerd in his fight. It also adds a new dominant animation to the game -- between your ally and an enemy. You're not going to want to miss this!
Another big update is Ms. Neal. She's been locked in that cell since V0.3.00, but now she has something to say. And she has a new dom anim! This anim's going to be different from the rest -- you'll have to wait until Friday to learn more, but I can't wait to hear what you think!
Finally, there will be a new Loyalty Code with this release. I'll probably drop the code sometime next week, but you'll only get it if you're an active subscriber AND you've liked the game on F95Zone!
