HELLO EVERONE,
Always love when I can add something new to the game. Not just a new story or a new chat, but a way to deliver 'content π' in a new way.
So, from the next update onwards, every time you get access to Sophie's phone, you will be able to open her camera app, and she will take a few selfies. ALSO, because this is just her taking them for fun, and not to be sent, she will probably be a lot less worried about what is showing π
I am going to go back and add this in for every time you are playing from her POV through the prologue, chapter 1 and chapter 2, so there should be around 40 new images just for those starting chapters.
NOW, before anyone says it, yes this is VERY similar to a feature of another phone game that is popular. Yes I know the dev, and when I complimented it they basically said "Well you add it too then", so I have permission π So for the people happy this is coming, you know who to thank.
This will slowly be added to all the 'extra' phones, and maybe even the MC's phone if he happens to be in the same room as someone else at the time π
I have been considering making it so that when you send a photo from her POV, you actually go to the camera app, take the photo, open the gallery, send the photo... But I personally feel that would slow the game down way too much. You already need, at minimum, 8 full playthroughs to get every image, so slowing the game down in any way would be painful for people trying to get every image... But I'd be happy to hear your thoughts on it?
Guess while I'm here I can mention some other things I'm doing? I'm slowly going through and sorting a lot of the UI issues. There were never any massive things, but I still felt it could use improvement. For example:
The chat screen now has a nice background. Not just a solid block of dark blue.
And:
You can modify your chat speeds directly from a mini settings tab on the contacts screen. Saves you having to go back to the main menu, settings, close that, back to the chat... while you tweak it to be perfect.
Oh, and the app carousel button at the bottom doesn't look AWFUL anymore.
Finally, I know I put this in the info app on the phone, but I know that barely anyone will ever open that... nothing compared to the people who will read this post. So thankyou to Aeofell, Ero, vwoid12, TotallyAnonymous, Yandere and Arkwright for helping me test every new stupid thing I change almost the second I change it.
Without them this game would be full of small bugs, images that are off, save errors, story messages that just don't make sense... The amount of help they give me making this is invaluable and the fast release schedule couldn't exist without them. I will buy you all a pizza one day, promise π₯°
