V0.10 release for free members :] and a dev ramble!

Well, for the people just here for the update, there you are!

For the people that like reading the random things I write? First of all; why? But second, here!

Things have slowed down slightly, mainly due to me having to go back to work. Fell short of earning enough to do this full time, but to be honest, not by as much as expected, so I'm only going back part time.

This means updates will be a bit slower (let's be honest, weekly was pretty insane anyway....) but they will still be within the 2 week release timeframe, that won't change. I'm yet to miss a deadline and I don't plan on starting now!

For the paid members? We are finally at the point where the first actual true NSFW photo of Sophie will be taken... That much was obvious at the end of the last release, so I'm spending some time making it something a little different to what you are used to... there will be a lot of photos and A LOT of routes through how this happens.

I know most games like to throw naked women at you left, right and center, but I've always been more interested in actually making every moment feel special. I wanted you to know who Sophie was, know what she likes, what she doesn't like, how she acts, just feel like you REALLY knew her before we got into this.

That's why I added the diary, the Nom-nom POVs, the chats with Lilly where she just talks about life. It's why she is in the Discord talking, and why every message she sends goes through me....

I think that I've achieved this. I always thought if there was one person out there who really cared about her, I would have succeeded, and I've had more than one tell me they do (So success!).

That does not mean that we will be rushing through everything to just get to sex though. We are still going slow, we will still take her on dates, hear what she is thinking, see when she struggles.... it just means we wont be dragging our feet as much going forwards!

The plan is for 0.12 to release 1 week from today. After 11.5 I'm happy with how everything is, and that there are no major bugs (except some emojis missing from some translations and stuff, it's been fixed ready for 0.12 now), so I shouldn't need to do another 'QOL' update for a little while.

I know some people might be annoyed or disappointed that we had a weeks update be QOL, but believe me that it is important before the game gets even bigger.... Something small that annoys people now will DRIVE THEM MAD when the game is 5x longer, and at that point it will take 5x longer to fix too :')

I just realized I never really spoke about the reason WHY I was making this story go so slow? So I guess I'll write that down... maybe someone will be interested in it?

So, I love VN's, specifically Key VN's, and anyone who has played one knows how they will TEAR YOUR DAMN HEART OUT AND STOMP ON IT (Shiki 😭). But that feeling of getting to know someone and actually starting to care about them has always been something I really loved about games and stories in general. It's also something I feel has always been very rare in adult games in general, and I've just never understood why. Just because we are playing to see someone naked doesn't mean we cant take the time to care about them first yk?

It's why I've just ignored every review that has complained and told me to 'throw some content in as a hook' early in the game. No. We are getting to the content now, multiple releases later, and I'm SO GLAD I held my ground. I think it's also why I fell out of writing the other stories as much. I used them as my 'hook' but I just did not care about the characters... But Sophie? Sophie I care about. A lot. So yea... guess that's my reason for doing it the way I did? I'm not going to even begin to pretend I will ever be able to write something close to as good as the stories I love.... but I can at least give it a go in the best way I can.

I also wanted to give a shoutout to the Discord community. Not one person in particular, just the community as a whole. I've been in A LOT of discord servers but I have never been in one like this. Everyone is nice, we have people posting fan art daily and just making friends. They don't even talk about NSFW stuff all the time... we have people who just say good morning daily 😂It's honestly just a nice place to be. I love it so much I can't even put it into words... Think that's about everything.... I'm sure there are another 10 pages of things I could write but then what will I have left for the next post I make in a couple days?!
