DESCRIPTION

Hello friends! 👋

This year was the most challenging for me. You blew me away by standing by my side while I was inactive. Let me share a few words about the upcoming changes and features I have planned.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. ReShade Presets and Graphics Modlists

For upcoming posts, I will release Graphics modlists + ReShade presets or only ReShade presets for the vanilla game.

🟣 Modlists feature only high-quality, compatible graphics mods.

🟣 If there are no decent graphics mods for a specific game, I only release ReShade presets.

There will be two types of graphics modlists: Tiny and Huge.

A tiny graphics modlist can contain one or a few graphics mods.

A huge graphics modlist can contain a few tens or a few hundred graphics mods, along with a custom load order. I refer to these as "Projects". "Projects" feature famous open-world games such as GTA, Cyberpunk 2077, Fallout, Skyrim, RDR, and more.

⚠️ I'm not promising to release graphics modlists for many games. There are mods available for almost every game, but most aren't good enough. I consider many things when picking a graphics mod (quality, visuals, performance, whether it's suitable for different scenarios, how it transforms the original game's look, and etc.)

🤔 What about Fallout 4 Next Gen - Project True NextGen?

I was busy with the Fallout 4 Project True NextGen, but my situation prevented me from completing it. Since the last progress update, we've got new graphics mods and updates. I want to take more time to test and try out new ones. I will work on and release ReShade presets, HUD Toggles, and Tiny modlists in parallel.

2. HUD Toggles (HUD hide/unhide)

Implementing the HUD Toggle option in my upcoming releases. You can hide and unhide your game's interface (HUD) with a single keyboard click. You will need ReShade with full add-on support and the ShaderToggler add-on. I will release a video guide for that. HUD Toggle may not be available in every game, but it is in most.

3. About LUTS and Overall Improvements

For performance gain, I was combining non-adaptive color manipulation shaders as a LUT in my ReShade presets. I've decided not to do that for the upcoming releases. You will get more customizability and improved image quality at the sacrifice of a few FPS.

I am constantly improving the overall look and balance of the presets, experimenting with different shaders, shader combinations, and variations of the same shader type.

4. RT Presets with Various SSRTGI Shaders

Upcoming RT presets will use any of the following RTGI shaders: Marty's RTGI, Complete RT, DH_Uber RT, etc. Depending on which SSRTGI shader gives better results (visuals, performance, stability) for a specific game, API, and Upscaling/AA methods.

5. Variety of ReShade Presets

Previously, I created multiple or single presets for each game. For upcoming releases, each game will get at least three presets with different looks and moods: "Remaster," "Filmic," "Enhanced," "Realism," etc. Each preset is fine-tuned for a specific game and its environments, usable from start to finish.

Presets differ not only in color grading but also in post-processing effects, lighting, and overall behavior in different environments.

6. Fog/Smoke and SSRTGI presets

As you may know, the issue with SSRTGI (Screen-space ray-traced global illumination) shaders is in-game fog, smoke, and volumetric lighting. There are two "solutions" at the moment: REST (ReShade Effects Shader Toggler) and ShaderToggler.

With REST, you can hide depth effects behind fog, smoke, and volumetric lighting. But REST's generic version is unstable for many games, especially DX12 and Vulkan games, and it's almost impossible to work with it.

ShaderToggler is not the perfect solution either. It allows you to find and completely remove the game's fog, smoke, and volumetric lighting. But it completely transforms or destroys the game's look and mood. Also, for many games with dynamic fog/smoke effects, you will get some artifacts if you remove these effects.

For upcoming releases, I will test both methods anyway and may include extra preset versions for some games with REST and ShaderToggler add-ons.

7. Guides and Tutorials

Improved universal installation and setup guide. How to and where to start. Everything you need to know about ReShade, depth buffer, SSRTGI shaders, modlists, and effects in one post. Video guides, links, tips, etc. Unique step-by-step guides will be available for some releases if necessary.

8. Surveys

Your feedback will help me better understand your expectations, such as what you prefer and what I should change or keep doing, etc.

-------------------------------------------

Guys, everything I do here is my dream, and this is not about "pay and get…", but about a passion for game graphics, camaraderie, and mutual support.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart, and have a great day!
